Letter to the Future.Letter to the Future. by IsHannahPaige
To My Dear-Future Husband,
Hi. My name is Holly. I'm pretty sure we don't know each other yet. I mean, I hope we don't. I hope you don't end up being one of these knuckle dragging imbeciles I'm forces to coexist with on a daily bases. But if you are, I guess I'll love you just the same.
Well, believe it or not, this letter actually has a purpose. I was just wondering if it's not too much that is if you could hurry the hell up and get here and sweep me off my feet already? I mean, I know true love waits and all that bologna, but honestly this is getting a bit ridiculous. I keep running into these morons who, well, let's just say they're less than acceptable. So I'm really hoping that you're just a really sweet guy and that I don't finally give in or something and marry one of these idiots.
I mean, good GOD, where are you? You better be worth it. I don't know what I'

A girl sits at a desk in the middle of a classroom. She's a mess. Her shirt in on inside out, hair is frizzed, makeup smeared. It is obvious that school has taken over her life and she is not taking well to it. She speaks to her classmates.
(Pause) I mean, think about it: when is ANY of this going to help us? Think about it!...Think-about-it. Think think think think think think THINK!!! That's what they tell us we need to do. But to think don't we have to think for ourselves? Let our minds do the work? But we're told what to think. So does that make us dumb? Does it make us the idiots? Are we just mindless carbon-copies who just think what we're told to and not ask why?
(Beat) I say-we need to learn about-important things. Like love .or . how to deal with people or how to finally take over South East Asia! THAT'S WHAT WE NEED! Screw the unit circle! Who needs

All the highway lights were a blur as Alex drove past them, far above the speed limit. Her head was spinning. Just minutes before, she had been sitting at her desk in her office, working on a business presentation for the next day. Then the phone rang.
It was already the most unholy sound. She didn't know whether or not it was because the ring scared her or some outside force of stress, but she knew something was wrong just in the way the phone rang.
"Alex Foster." She answered.
"Hey, Alex, it's Theo." Alex sighed. It was her ex-husband. Her panic heightened. Her daughter Mackenzie was staying with him that week. It was Spring Break, and Mackenzie wanted to spend her break in New York City with her father as opposed to another boring break sitting at home in a New Jersey suburb with her mother.
"Theo," Alex replied with a shaky voice, "wh

I am literally STUCK in the armpit of nowhere. This town should be outlawed. Why anyone would choose to exist here is beyond me. That's all you can do here; exist. There is nothing for anyone. Because no one here IS anything. No one here wants to be anything. It's so pathetic it makes you want to spit.
I'm an utter outcast. By no fault of my own, mind you. I don't play sports and I don't get my "swag on" so therefore, my existence doesn't benefit the morons around me, so the fact that I'm still living and breathing is completely pointless.
Now, I could get racy, and I could just tell the truth, but I'll stop myself before I get too nasty. The desire to be anywhere but here is burning in me so strongly I can't focus on anything else. There is nothing for me here, but I can't seem to get away. I'm kept here like some hideous beast locked in dungeon, kept from getting to a place where it is accepted because it doesn't
